HMT 18: 10 Days Nepal Bhutan Package

Day01 : Arrival/Kathmandu
Upon arrival, our representative shall meet you and you’ll be transferred to the Hotel. Enjoy the day at leisure.
Day02 : Kathmandu/Swayambhunath/Patan
After breakfast, you’ll start your tour visiting Swayambhunath temple, which is said to be a 2000 years old stupa on a hillock that offers a breathtaking view of Kathmandu city. You will then proceed to visit Kathmandu city and its ancient Durbar Square which is full of historical monuments and temples. After lunch you’ll visit Patan (Lalitpur) city, which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley- famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples and you can catch a glimpse of the traditional artisan working with the wood, stone and metals. We then proceed to visit the Tibetan Resettlement Camp where you can see spinning, dyeing and the weaving of Tibetan and Nepalese carpet by the Tibetan refugees.
Day 03 : Pashupati/Boudha/Kirtipur
After breakfast you’ll visit Pashupatinath temple, Nepal’s holiest Hindu shrine and Boudhanath Stupa, one of the world’s largest stupa (Buddhist shrine) which is also known as little Tibet. After lunch you’ll proceed to visit Kirtipur, an old Newar town situated on a small hillock which offers an excellent view of Kathmandu and its surroundings. The town itself boasts of many ancient monuments including the famed temple of Tiger Faced Bhairava.
Day 04 : Kathmandu/Paro
After breakfast you’ll ne transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Paro. Upon arrival, you’ll meet our Bhutanese representative and drive to Thimpu (65kms/02 hours) and overnight stay at Druk Hotel.
Day 05 : At Thimpu
After breakfast, you’ll have sightseeing tour visiting the memorial Chorten of the late King Jigmee Dirjee Wangchuk in the heart of Thimpu town and the Tashichhodzong, “The Fortress of the auspicious religion.” After lunch stroll downtown to the handicraft Development Corporation which displays all kinds of traditional products of Bhutan.
Day 06 : Thimpu/Paro
After breakfast dive leisurely to Paro. Afternoon drive through the Paro valley to see the Drukgyel Dzong/Kyichu Lhakhang. On a clear day one can see the Majestic Jhomolharu Mountain or better known as the Mountain of Goddess (7314 m). Also visit the national museum located in Ta Dzong which displays the rich collection of fine arts and weapons. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : Paro/Taktsang Lhakang
After breakfast, drive to Sartshan Chorten and two hours of horse riding uphill will take you to the Taktsang cafeteria. After refreshment short trek to the view point to witness a fascinating eye level view of the famous Taktsang Lhakhang also known as the Tiger’s Nest. After lunch a slow downhill trek to Sartshan Chorten and then drive to the hotel forovernight stay.
Day 08 : Paro/Kathmandu
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to hotel and rest of the day free for your own activities.
Day 09 : Sankhu/Bajra Yogini
After breakfast at the hotel you’ll visit Sankhu which is a sleepy town and beneath Gum Bihar religious complex is the temple of Bajra Yogini. The area has been an important religious site since the 4th century and has excellent nature and bird-life as well as charming monkeys and pigeons in the temple area. After lunch you’ll have free time for your personal activities. In the evening you’ll be taken to Banchhaghar restaurant for a farewell Nepalese donner and cultural dance.
Day 10 : Departure/Transfer
After breakfast, on time you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey flight.

HMT 19: 12 Days Nepal Bhutan Package

Day01 : Arrival/Kathmandu

Day 06 : Thimpu/Punakha
After breakfast, a pleasant drive over the spectacular Dochula pass (3,100m) to the warm and fertile Valley of Punakha (77 kms/03 hours). After lunch, in the afternoon visit the historic Punakha Dzong, once the seat of the old capital of Bhutan. The magnificient Dzong is between the Phochu and Mochu rivers. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 : Punakha/Bhumanthang
Early morning, drive to the calley of Bhumanthang(210 kms/08 hours) through the Yotala Pass (3440 m). This calley is considered to be a very sacred place for the Bhutanese with many temples and holy places. Overnight stay at Bhumanthang Tourist Lodge.
Day 08 : At Bhumanthang
After breakfast, drive to Mebartsho (burning lake). This gorge is the holy site and pilgrimage okace where Guru Rimpoche had hidden religious treasures later discovererd by Terton PemaLingpa. Visit the Swiss Farm where you can buy excellent local cheese. After lunch, visit the Jakar Dzong (castle of white bird). Built in 1549 this Dzong houses the administrative center of Bhumanthang. A visit to Kurjey Lhakang, the most sacred and popular monastery in Bhumanthang. Overnight stay at the Bhumanthang tourist lodge.
Day 09 : Bhumanthang/Thimpu
After early breakfast, drive to Thimpu 267 km/ 8 hours) via Tongsa and Wangdiphodrang. Upon arrical check in and overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Thimpu/Paro
After breakfast, drive to Paro visiting Drukgyel Dzong/Kyichu Lhakang and the National Museum. After lunch excursion to Taktsang Lhakang. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 : Paro/Kathmandu
You’ll be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred to hotel and rest of the day free for your own activities. In the evening you’ll be taken to Banchhaghar restaurant for a farewell Nepalese dinner and cultural dance.
Day 12 : Departure/Transfer
After breakfast, on time you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey flight.
